Seyne-sur-Mer is a commune in the southeastern France and is a part of the agglomeration of Toulon. Its name comes from a unique plant that grows in the bottom of the Toulon bay and its fame from its old shipyards that date back to 1711. Around 1884, Seyne-sur-Mer was home to the largest shipyards of the time, which were building the famous ocean liners and cargo ships connecting Europe with the rest of the world. Since 2004, Seyne-sur-Mer has undergone touristic redevelopment and boasts a new marina with an extensive park.
Seyne-sur-Mer is the site of the 2011 470 Spring Cup (12-17 April). For a detailed view of the 470 class click here.
