The Fleet Racing Tour (FRT) is the premier Olympic Sailing series, featuring the world's top Olympic sailors and taking place in the most exciting sailing locations in 3 continents. Sailing is an Olympic sport since 1900 and is one of the oldest sports in the programme. FRT joins one of the oldest classes (470 dinghy, Star keelboat) and its highly experienced crews with the newest, high performance classes (49er dinghy, RS:X windsurf) and their younger talents.
The FRT visits North and South America, Europe and Asia in order to bring the audience the top sailing from around the world. Most of the top athletes participating in the FRT have represented their countries in the Olympic Games, have won numerous World and Regional Championships and are clearly the world’s best sailors.
The FRT 2011 media had an audience of more than half a billion in more than 130 countries through its own TV programming aired on top networks such as Bloomberg TV, ESPN Star Sports, RTL Sport Klub and its co-operation with leading TV programs, such as the "Road to London" TV magazine for the 2012 Olympics.
The FRT team manages internally the media production, post-production, distribution and activation of its commercial partners’ investments, maximizing the control over their exposure. The high-tech media coverage, which includes the most advanced 3D realistic simulation, low-altitude aerial filming systems and specialized onboard cameras fitted on the small dinghies, really brings the tactics and the action of Olympic Sailing.
Supporting Olympic Sailing means communicating with a sophisticated audience that enjoys the yachting lifestyle and the high performance aspects of the Olympic classes. Moreover, Olympic Sailing provides a differentiated marketing approach within a differentiated sport environment. Finally, FRT’s international footprint, which includes many developing markets, is an excellent way of multiplying the benefits in many attractive geographies.
FRT Offers many different branding and communication opportunities to its commercial partners, ranging from global title rights and boat signage to on site activities and local hospitality. The opportunities are bundled in the following packages:
